without flowers for most of the year, I have almost dismissed this plant over the fence in the neighbour's front yard as just another shrubby plant...boring to look at and without much form...
...such a surprise to notice this two-tone rhododendron bursting into bloom this Spring - gorgeous colouring and it catches the light right through the afternoon, giving the petals a translucent quality on the edges...simply luscious...and not even one of my favourites!
